Important skin cancer question.?
Hello.
Im not sure if all of this is connected.
About four months ago I noticed a weird growth on my nipple. My sister said it was normal, but since then it has gotten larger. It is tan with a cream colored middle, the middle is uneven, and it almost looks like two connected bubbles and is raised.
A few weeks ago my boyfriend noticed a mole on my shoulder that he says looked totally different. I took a look at it and saw that it is dark brown, all of my other moles are brown. It also has one jagged edge. It almost looks like the things pacman eats. In the mole there are also black dots and it is raised. Is this questionable? I also have four other moles that are raised and oddly shaped. Could more than one mole be cancerous at the same time?
None of the moles are incredibly large. The one my boyfriend noticed is slightly bigger along with a few other ones
I also suddenly got a red raised mole on my left breast, the same breast with the areola growth. The mole literally appeared out of no where.
Are all of these moles okay, or should i be worried? I am 19 and a sophmore in college. Anyone have any experience with skin cancer. I know it has run in my family, my cousin age 30 died of melanoma. But i know that it is through sunlight exposure and a few months ago I was diagnosed with vitamin d deficiency, my level was below 15. So im not sure how I could have any problems with skin cancer?
I couldn’t tell you specifically about each mole because I am not a doctor, but some of them do sound suspicious and at your age you should start getting checked every so often by a dermatologist anyway, so I would set up an appointment sometime. They can tell you for sure what looks ok and what might be cancerous.
if you don’t trust your current dermatologist, get a 2nd opinion.
I have no idea why someone would give the first answer a thumbs down. I thought it was a pretty good answer. Why not have those moles looked at by a pro and relieve any anxiety you have? It truly is “better safe than sorry” when dealing with possible skin cancer. Make an appointment and get them checked. The least you can get is a good education on what to look for in the future, given by a dermatologist.
